Terms & Conditions
Last updated October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply to all work carried out by Prospark AE Pty Ltd (ABN 64 580 533 512, ACN 679 577 694), trading as Prospark Auto Electrics ("we", "us"), at our workshop at 1/244 Treasure Road, Welshpool WA 6106. We hold Motor Vehicle Repairers Licence MRB 12878. By booking your vehicle in, approving a quote or leaving your vehicle with us, you agree to these terms.
All our work is done at our workshop. We don't offer mobile or on-site service.
2. Quotes & additional work
Quotes are based on the information and the vehicle condition known at the time. A quote is valid for the period stated on it.
If we find something during the job that needs extra work or parts, we'll contact you first. We won't go over the approved amount without your OK.
3. Diagnostic time
Finding an electrical fault takes testing time. Diagnostic time is charged whether or not you go ahead with the repair. We'll tell you how it's charged before we start, and give you a clear quote for the repair once we've found the fault.
4. Parts
Parts we supply carry the manufacturer's warranty. We use quality parts from brands we trust.
If you supply your own parts, we can't warranty the part itself, and we may decline to fit parts that don't meet the standard we install to. Any extra labour caused by a faulty customer-supplied part is charged.
Parts remain our property until the invoice is paid in full.
5. Deposits & special orders
For larger installs or parts ordered in specially for your job, we may ask for a deposit before ordering. If you cancel after a special-order part has been ordered, the cost of that part may not be refundable where the supplier won't take it back.
6. Payment
Payment is due when the work is complete, before the vehicle is collected, unless we've agreed other terms with you in writing (for example, an approved fleet account). We may keep the vehicle until the invoice is paid.
7. Collection & storage
We'll let you know as soon as your vehicle is ready. Please collect it during our opening hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4:00pm, and Friday 7:30am – 1:00pm.
If a vehicle isn't collected within a reasonable time after we've told you it's ready, storage charges may apply. We'll tell you about them before they start.
8. Warranty & your consumer rights
We stand behind our workmanship. If something we've done isn't right, contact us and we'll inspect it and put it right. The workmanship warranty that applies to your job is shown on your invoice.
Our warranty doesn't cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, later modifications or repairs by someone else, or normal wear and tear.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Your vehicle while it's with us
Please remove valuables and personal items before dropping your vehicle off.
You authorise us to move and road test your vehicle where it's needed to diagnose a fault or check our work.
Some faults are only found once work starts, and older or previously modified wiring can have problems that aren't visible beforehand. We'll tell you about anything we find. We aren't responsible for existing faults or damage that our work didn't cause, except where the law says otherwise.
10. Accessories & modifications
We install accessories to the manufacturer's instructions and to the relevant Australian standards.
Some modifications should be declared to your insurer, and some accessories have rules about how they can be used on the road (for example, driving lights). Please check with your insurer, and use accessories in line with WA road rules.
11. Privacy
We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, how we use it and how to contact us about it.
12. This website
Information on this website is general and may change. Supplier logos link to those brands' own websites, which we don't control. Photos show work carried out in our workshop. Number plates in photos have been covered for our customers' privacy.
13. Changes & contact
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies to bookings made after the date shown at the top.
